When a new employee is recruited in any organization, he is put on a probation period. The duration of this probation period varies as per the company policy or the owner's individual decision. According to the New Labor Law, if an employee wishes to terminate a job where he recently got recruited, he can do so within the probation time. However, he needs to notify his employer one month in advance that he wants to quit.

In addition to this, the injunction in the New Labor Law makes the new employer responsible for compensating the previous employer of the employee in question. It is necessary to cover the inconvenience that the employer faced as a result of the employee's decision to quit the job so swiftly.

Moreover, if an employee wants to leave the UAE, and wishes to terminate his employment contract, he is permitted to do so. However, on one condition. He should inform the employer that he wants to quit the job at least fourteen days before leaving it formally. Moreover, this intimation should be in written form and should be executed within the probationary period as well. This injunction helps in facilitating both the employer and the employee.
